Knifepoint robbery of woman in Belfast

The PSNI are investigating an incident in which a 66-year-old woman was threatened at knifepoint in south Belfast yesterday afternoon.

The woman was waiting in a parked car at Marcus Ward Street when a man got into the driver's seat and started the engine.

The woman struggled with the robber who then produced a knife and ordered her to get out of the car.

He drove off in the direction of Bankmore Street.

The woman was not injured but is said to be very shocked by the ordeal.
