The jobs of 300 workers at a car parts factory outside Belfast are under threat.
Visteon says the Dunmurry plant is in a difficult financial position and is not making products that are part of the company's global strategy.
It says it wants to restructure its operation and cut costs at its plants in the UK, which employ around 3,000 people.
Peter Bunting of the Irish Congress of Trade Unions has warned that he is not optimistic about the factory's future.
Visteon was formerly part of the Ford Motor company.
