Defamation timetable pushed back further

The timetable for a defamation bill and provisions for a right to privacy have been further pushed back.  

A government spokesman said it would be another two weeks before the measures were brought to cabinet.   

The issue was not discussed at today's cabinet meeting.

The Minister for Justice's proposals for a new bill were given the go ahead by the Cabinet last June.
