Cities around the world have been hosting events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of writer Samuel Beckett.
He was born in Foxrock, Co Dublin, on 13 April 1906.
Fresh flowers were laid at his grave in Montparnasse, Paris today by enthusiasts of his work.
Berlin, New York, Tokyo and London have also been staging commemorative events of the writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969.
RTÉ Radio is commemorating Beckett with new, exclusively produced broadcasts and archive material.
