Govt to invest €24m in children's study

The Minister for Children, Brian Lenihan, has announced a €24 million investment into the first phase of a long-term study of children in Ireland.

The Minister for Children, Brian Lenihan, has announced a €24 million investment into the first phase of a long-term study of children in Ireland.

The lives of 18,000 infants and children will be tracked over a seven-year period.

The data collected will be used in the formation of Government policy on services for children and their families.
