Gardaí have named the man who died following a stabbing in west Dublin this morning as Gary Wisely.

The 22-year-old, from Knocklyon, received a number of stab wounds after a fight broke out at a house on Swiftbrook Avenue in Jobstown at around 3.30am.

He fled around the corner to Swiftbrook Park where he collapsed.

He was taken to Tallaght hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after 4am.

Gardaí have appealed to witnesses to come forward.
