Survey points to high quality of Dublin lifeMonday 10 April 2006 08.33
A new survey has found that Dublin has a better quality of life than London or Paris.
The survey of 216 cities worldwide also named the Irish capital as having the highest quality of life for any city in the UK and Ireland.
It came in 24th place overall, leaving Paris and London trailing behind in 33rd and 39th place.
Factors such as personal safety, the environment and access to health, education and transport were taken into consideration.
However, since last year Dublin has dropped two places in the list which is mainly due to increased traffic congestion.
Zurich was named the world's top rated city, ahead of Geneva and Vancouver.
Baghdad was named as the city with the worst quality of life.
