SIPTU has alleged that migrant construction workers on a large site in Dublin were sacked after complaining to the union about being underpaid.

Branch organiser John Murphy said the men were employees of a Polish firm, Tempo, a subcontractor on the Beacon South Quarter Site in Sandyford.

The main contractors on the site, John Paul and PJ Hegarty, say if any shortfall in payments by subcontractors emerges, they will ensure all employees receive their full entitlements.
