Man injured in Limerick gun attack

A man was wounded in a gun attack at his home on the outskirts of Limerick city last night.

A man was wounded in a gun attack at his home on the outskirts of Limerick city last night.

The man, who is in his 40s, ran out of his house in Rossbrien after someone fired a brick through the front window.

He was then shot twice in the back by one of two youths. The man was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Gardaí have launched an inquiry and are appealing for witnesses.
