The report into the Maternity Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda will be published tomorrow and will conclude that Dr Michael Neary carried out a shocking number of caesarean hysterectomies.
The report, by Judge Maureen Harding Clark, will also say questions should have been raised long before Dr Neary was stopped. The report will also highlight the fact that medical records in the hospital were subsequently tampered with.
The inquiry into the practices of the disgraced obstetrician says the number of hysterectomies carried out was 20 times the national average.
The inquiry also found that medical files belonging to 44 hysterectomy patients had gone missing.
Dr Neary has since been struck off the medical register after being found guilty of professional misconduct.
