Security guard shot dead at Belfast barracks

A security guard was shot dead at a British army barracks in east Belfast yesterday evening.

The 46-year-old victim from Larne, Co Antrim was working at the Moscow Army Barracks on Airport Road when the incident occurred.

A British army spokesman confirmed that the shooting was not training-related.
