Labour leader Pat Rabbitte has defended his position against claims by Frank Dunlop that he discussed the rezoning of lands at Ballycullen in 1992.

Speaking on RTÉ Radio's This Week, Mr Rabbitte said he was offered a donation for his election campaign which he returned, and the cheque was now with the Mahon Tribunal.

Mr Rabbitte also said the Taoiseach's appeal last week to Labour members and trade unionists not to rule out a coalition deal with Fianna Fáil confirmed the lack of confidence on the part of Fianna Fáil and the PDs.
