Lobbyist Frank Dunlop has denied he made false allegations of corruption against county councillors to account for money he received from developers.
Mr Dunlop has told the Mahon Tribunal that he paid bribes totalling around £11,000 to nine different Dublin councillors including Fianna Fáil's Don Lydon to get lands in Ballycullen rezoned.
Counsel for Mr Lydon put it to Mr Dunlop that he had first claimed he received just £17,500 from the landowner but the tribunal claims the amount is closer to £60,000.
Mr Dunlop said he may have 'conflated' figures also paid for a linked rezoning at Beechill in Clonskeagh but denied he also conflated facts, events, faces and names.
He admitted that Mr Lydon was not on the list of 16 councillors he first accused of corruption in 2000 but denied being under pressure to name extra names.
Mr Dunlop also conceded that the nine councillors he named would not have made any difference to the rezoning vote as it was carried by 42 to 14.
