Hospital consultants have said they will return to contract negotiations with the health service.
Hospital consultants have said they will return to contract negotiations with the health service.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio, the president of the Irish Hospital Consultants Association, Dr Josh Keaveny, said they had left the talks because of Mary Harney's insistence that consultants could not combine public and private practice.
However, he said they would be prepared on to negotiate on the issue.
