Aer Lingus said it expects two of its inbound flights from New York and Boston to Dublin to be delayed by two hours tomorrow morning due to heavy snow along the northeastern coast of the US.
More than 2,000 flights were cancelled yesterday, including three Aer Lingus flights as airports from Boston to Washington were forced to close.
Thousands of people in the states of Maryland and New Jersey have been left without power. Meteorologists have predicted winds of up to 80km an hour.
More than 100,000 people from Virginia to Connecticut were without electricity, power companies said, as up to 18 inches of snow coated the region.
