Fianna Fáil has moved to resolve the row over the selection of candidates in the Galway West constituency.

Fianna Fáil has moved to resolve the row over the selection of candidates in the Galway West constituency.

A selection convention last Sunday broke up in disarray after delegates objected to the stipulation from party HQ that only three candidates be selected.

The party's Constituencies Committee has now decided to select forthwith Ministers Eamon Ó Cuiv and Frank Fahey as candidates.

It then plans to interview the four other nominees and complete the panel after the interview process.
