A new opinion poll shows an increase in support for Fianna Fáil and the Green Party, and a slump for Fine Gael.
However, the Red C poll to be published in tomorrow's Sunday Business Post shows a large majority feel that on a range of issues, a Fine Gael/Labour Government would do better or as well as the current coalition.
Red C interviewed over 1,000 adults for this poll over five days last week, and weighted the results to reflect the profile of all adults in the country.
The figures for party support are in line with other recent polls.
Fianna Fáil, at 37%, are up three points since the last poll in December - suggesting a post-Budget bounce. Fine Gael at 23% are down four, while Labour are unchanged at 13.
Sinn Féin are down one point at 9% and the Green Party are up two points at 7%.
The PDs at 3% are unchanged, as are others at 8% support.
The poll also asked voters how much better or worse a Fine Gael/Labour coalition would be at dealing with a range of issues, compared to the current Government.
The vast majority felt Fine Gael and Labour would do better, or make no difference.
On health, only 12% thought they would be worse than the current Government.
In terms of the economy, 21% said they would be worse, while 16% said they would be worse on ensuring value for money in Government spending.
Just 10% thought Fine Gael and Labour would be worse at dealing with crime.
