Man injured in Limerick city shooting

A man in his 20s is recovering in hospital in Limerick after being shot early this morning.

Gardaí say he was in his flat in Janesboro, on the south side of the city, when two attackers burst through the front door and shot him in the forehead.

He is being treated in hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
