The President of the High Court is expected to give his judgment next month on whether five Mayo men should be punished for their protest against the Corrib gas pipeline.
Brothers Philip and Vincent McGrath, Willie Corduff, Michael O'Seighin and Brendan Philbin served 94 days in prison for contempt of court. They had refused to obey a court order not to interfere with the construction of the gas pipeline.
Mr Justice Joseph Finnegan will give judgment on 13 February as to what sanction, if any, should be imposed on the men for disobeying the court.
The men were released from jail at the end of September after the Shell oil company applied to have the temporary injunction which restrained interference with the pipeline lifted.
