Two charged after North stabbing

A 17-year-old youth has been remanded in custody until Thursday, charged with the attempted murder of a man in Co Antrim yesterday.

A 17-year-old youth has been remanded in custody until Thursday, charged with the attempted murder of a man in Co Antrim yesterday.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Ballymena Magistrate's Court this morning in connection with the stabbing of a 36-year-old man on a garage forecourt in the town early on New Years Day.

A 21-year-old man was also before the court, charged with maliciously wounding the same man. The victim was treated for knife wounds after a fight broke out.
