An Italian court has issued a European arrest warrant for 22 CIA agents suspected of kidnapping an Egyptian cleric in 2003.
An Italian court has issued a European arrest warrant for 22 CIA agents suspected of kidnapping an Egyptian cleric in 2003.
Magistrates suspect that the agents organised the abduction in Milan of Hassan Mustapha Osama Nasr, also known as Abu Omar.
It is alleged the radical Muslim cleric was then flown for interrogation to Egypt, where he was reportedly tortured.
He remains in custody in Egypt.
