The Minister for Education, Mary Hanafin, has given further details on the €1 billion investment package for third level education as set out in last Wednesday's budget.
The Minister for Education, Mary Hanafin, has given further details on the €1 billion investment package for third level education as set out in last Wednesday's budget.
Ms Hanafin announced spending of €700 million on 35 building and development projects over the next five years.
A further €300 million will be allocated to a strategic innovation fund.
The minister gave the go-ahead to projects in areas such as engineering, science and technology, teacher training, catering and tourism.
