Dell to lay off 60 staff in Dublin, Limerick

The multinational computer company, Dell, is to lay off about 60 staff in Dublin and Limerick.

The multinational computer company, Dell, is to lay off about 60 staff in Dublin and Limerick. 

It is understood that 50 of the workers based at the firm's sales and marketing centre in Cherrywood in south Dublin are to lose their jobs.

10 others will be let go from the company's manufacturing plant in Limerick.  

A spokesperson for Dell said there had been what she described as a minor reorganisation of the company's Irish operations, and added that Dell hoped to find other jobs within the company for some of those affected.
