A man whose body was found in Co Clare this morning is believed to have been shot dead.
He has been named as David Nunan from the O'Malley Park area of Southill in Limerick.
Preliminary indications are that he may have been shot in the back. Gardaí were alerted at around 9am this morning when the body was discovered in a field close to Parteen village church.
A garda technical team was called in to examine the scene.
Extra gardaí were also due to go to the location to search the grounds where the body was found.
