A suicide bomber has killed himself and five others in a suicide bomb attack in a marketplace in the town of Hadera in northern Israel.
At least 30 people were injured in what was the first bombing inside the Jewish state since 28 August.
The blast caused heavy damage to the market stalls lining the wide tree-lined street which runs alongside the town's market.
Responsibility for today's attack was claimed by the Islamic Jihad movement, which said it was in retaliation for the recent killing of its military commander for the West Bank.
Palestinian leader, Mahmud Abbas, has condemned the attack. He criticised militants for taking the law into their own hands and for harming Palestinian interests.
