Funeral of fifth Co Donegal road crash victim

Hundreds of mourners turned out in Buncrana today for the funeral of the fifth victim of last Saturday's car crash in Co Donegal.

Hundreds of mourners turned out in Buncrana today for the funeral of Charlene O'Connor, the fifth victim of last Saturday's car crash in Co Donegal.

The service took place in St Mary's Church, Cockhill in Buncrana.

Charlene was 21 and was due to graduate from Letterkenny Institute of Technology on Friday.

The four other victims, who were all in their early 20s, were buried yesterday.

Charlene was laid to rest in a grave adjoining her boyfriend, Gavin Duffy, and friends, Rochelle Peoples and Darren Quinn, who were also killed in the two-car crash.

It happened at Cross, Quigley's Point in Muff at 3.30am on Saturday morning.
