Dempsey working to appoint Corrib mediator

The Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources told the Dáil that work is underway to identify a mediator for the Corrib Gas pipeline dispute.

Noel Dempsey said that once a mediator had been appointed, a thorough and independent safety review of the pipeline would take place.

The Fine Gael leader Enda Kenny said the Government and the Local Authority had been negligent in their duties in relation to the issue.
