The house of a convicted Limerick criminal which was seized by the Criminal Assets Bureau has been sold at auction for €224,000.
Two years ago, the CAB secured an order in the High Court for the home of 31-year-old Brian Collopy in Co Limerick.
Mr Collopy bought the house a year-and-a-half previously in the village of Fedamore, east of Limerick city.
The house, described as reasonably large and comfortable, was purchased with cash for €150,000 in March 2002.
At the time gardaí believed Mr Collopy had moved back to his native home in St Mary's Park following the murder of crime boss Kieran Keane in January 2003.
