Sinn Féin's leader in the Dáil, Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin, has claimed there was no involvement by any member of Sinn Féin or the IRA in the murder of Dublin man Joseph Rafferty.
Mr Ó Caoláin told RTÉ News that he openly and unequivocally appealed to everyone to come forward with whatever information they might have about the murder.
He said that the killing was an action Sinn Féin roundly condemned, and hoped justice would be done.
28-year-old Mr Rafferty was shot dead by a gunman as he arrived at his home in Ongar, Co Dublin, on 12 April.
Mr Ó Caoláin was speaking at a meeting of the five Sinn Féin TDs to plan strategy for the coming Dáil term.
He said they intended to offer real opposition, rather than what he called the 'Tweedledum and Tweedledee' choices offered by the Government and the Mullingar Accord team of Fine Gael and Labour.
