The new chief executive of the Irish Dairy Board has been named.
Noel Coakley, 49, will take over from Dr Noel Cawley who is retiring next year.
Mr Coakley has been with the board for 22 years and has had responsibility for all of the board's operations in the UK since 1990.
The chairman of the Dairy Board, Michael Cronin, said Mr Coakley has an impressive business track record coupled with significant international experience.
He said he is well equipped to take the board forward at a time of major challenge within the dairy industry.
The Dairy Board sells Irish produce in about 100 countries using the Kerrygold label.
