Rival youths clash in Ardoyne

Up to 100 loyalist and republican youths clashed in Ardoyne, north Belfast last night.

Up to 100 loyalist and republican youths clashed in Ardoyne, north Belfast last night.

Stones were thrown and a number of house windows were smashed during the clashes on Alliance Avenue shortly before 10pm.

The disturbance moved to the Ardoyne Road, the scene of nationalist and police clashes on 12 July.

Police brought the situation under control shortly after midnight.
