Anniversary of Omagh bombing

A commemoration service to mark the seventh anniversary of the Omagh bombing has taken place in the town's Memorial Garden.

More than 200 relatives of the victims attended.

Twenty nine people, including a woman pregnant with twins, were killed and 400 others were injured when a bomb planted by the Real IRA exploded in the town centre in 1998.

The service took place amidst widespread anger among bereaved families at the level of compensation offered to them by the British government.
