Sinn Féin has reinstated five of the 12 party members it suspended following the murder of Belfast man Robert McCartney.
The five are said to have followed orders by the party leader to make statements to the North's Police Ombudsman, Nuala O'Laon.
Four of the original 12 suspended have since resigned, two have been expelled and a decision on the only member still suspended has yet to be made.
The 12 had been in or near Maginnis's bar when Mr McCartney was attacked.
The spokesperson also said Sinn Féin will continue to do all that it can to help the McCartney family in their campaign for justice.
Earlier this month, two men were charged in connection with Mr McCartney's death and remanded in custody.
Robert McCartney's sister, Catherine, said more clarification was needed from Sinn Féin.
