Gardaí investigating the murder of Hughie McGinley in Sligo town over a month ago searched a number of homes in the town this morning.
One car was seized in the operation and taken to Sligo Garda Station for examination.
It follows the arrests this morning of 14 people in connection with the murder. The eight men and six women were arrested in the Sligo town area.
They are being held at various garda stations in the region under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act.
Mr McGinley was shot in the head on 28 April as he sat in a van in Grattan Street in the town. His assailant was a pillion passenger on a motorcycle.
The 26-year-old, who was the father of a three-month-old boy, died later in Sligo General Hospital.
