Rosalind McBrearty, wife of Frank McBrearty, has spoken for the first time of her family's nine-year fight for justice.
Mrs McBrearty was speaking on RTÉ's News at One programme following the publication of the Morris Tribunal's second report on Wednesday.
She said the full truth of what had happened, has still to come out.
The second report of Mr Justice Frederick Morris focused on the Garda inquiry into the death of Richard Barron in 1996.
The report found that Frank McBrearty Jnr and Mark McConnell had been framed by gardaí for the murder of Mr Barron, a murder that had never taken place.
Judge Morris said there was evidence of wilful blunders, gross negligence, laziness and rushes to judge people as guilty.
Criticism 'unjustifiable' - Leonard
Meanwhile, Garda Martin Leonard has said that the criticisms laid against him in the report are unjustifiable.
In the report, Justice Morris criticised Garda Leonard for his 'consistent ability to be deceitful'.
Speaking on RTÉ Radio's Morning Ireland, Garda Leonard said that he is prepared to do everything to vindicate his name.
He claims that an earlier internal garda inquiry has clouded Justice Morris's decision and led to the damning report published this week.
Garda Leonard served in the Donegal Division in the late 1990s but is now on medical leave.
