The Commission for Aviation Regulation has proposed increasing airport charges for airlines.

Rises in charges are usually passed on to consumers through increases in ticket prices.

The regulator, Bill Prasifka, has published a range of draft increases which will be finalised in October.

The increases will take account of infrastructural spending, including plans for the new terminal at Dublin Airport.
