One of the most prestigious prizes for film-makers, the Palme d'Or has been awarded at Cannes.
Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne from Belgium who co-directed the film L'Enfant were presented with the prize at a ceremony in Cannes last night.
The film is a gritty urban tale of a young couple living on the breadline in France.
It is the second Palme d'Or for the Dardenne brothers.
Hollywood star, Tommy Lee Jones, in Cannes with his feature directorial debut 'The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada', won the best actor category.
Best actress went to Israel's Hanna Laslo in 'Free Zone', which also starred Natalie Portman.
US director Jim Jarmusch's 'Broken Flowers', starring Bill Murray, won the Grand Prix award - the runner-up for best picture.
