The Church of Ireland Primate, Dr Robin Eames, has described childcare lasting for up to 12 hours a day as dehumanising and demeaning.
The Church of Ireland Primate, Dr Robin Eames, has described childcare lasting for up to 12 hours a day as dehumanising and demeaning.
Opening his church's three-day General Synod in Dublin, Archbishop Eames said that too many families were struggling with daily commutes to jobs in distant cities.
The Archbishop said that the Victorians would have found these conditions unacceptable.
