It is expected that the 35-year-old Co Armagh man set to be accused of murder over the Omagh bombing will have the charges served against him later this month.
The Director of Public Prosecutions in Belfast has instructed the PSNI to bring charges against Sean Gerard Hoey from Jonesborough.
He has already been in custody for over a year on other terrorism-related charges.
When he made an unsuccessful bail application in the High Court in Belfast last year, his defence team said he denies preparing, making, procuring or having anything whatsoever to do with the Omagh bomb.
29 people, including a woman pregnant with twins, were killed in the 15 August 1998 bombing.
