Officials discuss Dowse adoption

Officials of the Adoption Board and the Department of Foreign Affairs met this evening to discuss the controversy over the Irish adoption of a three-year-old Indonesian boy.

Officials of the Adoption Board and the Department of Foreign Affairs met this evening to discuss the controversy over the Irish adoption of a three-year-old Indonesian boy.

Joseph and Lala Dowse have returned their adopted son, Tristan, to an Indonesian orphanage because they felt the arrangement had not 'worked out'.

Its now been agreed that the Adoption Board will seek a meeting with the couple's legal representatives.
