Car bomb NE of Baghdad kills five

A car bomb has exploded northeast of Baghdad near Khan Bani Sad, killing four policemen and one civilian.

A car bomb has exploded northeast of Baghdad near Khan Bani Sad, killing four policemen and one civilian.

Four policemen were killed when they came up to inspect the empty car parked on the main highway outside the town and it exploded.

One civilian driving by was killed and two other passers-by were
wounded in the attack 20 km northeast of Baghdad.

The road was sealed off around the site of the blast.
