GAA Congress to debate Croke Park issue

The GAA has said the issue of opening up Croke Park to other sports will be up for debate at the next meeting of Congress in April.

The GAA has said the issue of opening up Croke Park to other sports will be up for debate at the next meeting of Congress in April.

The GAA president, Sean Kelly, has confirmed that most of the ten revised motions regarding Rule 42 submitted by county boards have been passed.

A two-thirds majority is required at Congress if Croke Park is to open its doors to rugby and soccer.
