Court reserves decision on Foley applicationWednesday 19 January 2005 17.00
The High Court has reserved its decision in an application by convicted criminal Martin Foley for an injunction stopping the Sunday World from printing any further material which he claims would endanger his life.
Mr Foley claims an article by Paul Williams in December, which alleged that Martin Foley was a garda informer, has put his life at risk.
Foley, who is nicknamed ‘the viper’, claimed this allegation was without foundation and was denied.
Mr Justice Peter Kelly said he would give his decision next week.
