25 insurgents killed in Mosul say US troops

US troops say they killed around 25 insurgents in the Iraqi city of Mosul after being attacked by suicide bombs and rocket-propelled grenades.

15 US troops were also reported to have been injured in the attack.

The incident comes just over a week after 22 people died in a attack on a US base nearby.
