Five explosions have been reported in Madrid after an ETA bomb threat, according to state radio.

The explosions occurred at petrol stations in the Madrid area.

A telephone call in the name of the Basque separatist group, ETA, said five bombs had been placed in the Madrid area and were set to explode, the Basque newspaper Gara reported on its website.

No injuries have been reported.

ETA, which has not launched a major attack in months, regularly uses Gara to announce impending attacks.
