Members of the rural bus network have been protesting at the Dáil today.

Rural communities are calling on the Government to increase funding for transport services across the country.

Irish Rural Link says €3 million a year is provided for the rural network and it does not expect this to increase in the Budget.

The Chief Executive of Irish Rural Link, Sean Boland, says services will have to be cut if it does not get more funding.
