A report on procedures and practices in the army equitation school has been presented to the Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Jim Sreenan.
The report was sought by the chief last week following the doping scandal surrounding Waterford Crystal, the mount of Olympic gold medallist, Cian O'Connor.
The investigation was carried out by military police with the assistance of two independent vets from UCD.
It is believed the report found that no illegal practices or anything untoward had been taking place, though apparently there is a recommendation seeking minor improvements in administrative procedures concerning veterinary visits to the school.
The report is expected to be given to Defence Minister Willie O'Dea in the next few days.
