US President George Bush and challenger John Kerry are both visiting the key states of Florida and Ohio today as they try to court every last voter ahead of Tuesday's presidential election.
With less than 48 hours to go before voting, polls show the two candidates running neck and neck, with little apparent change since the emergence of the video of Osama bin Laden.
Ridge reassures US voters
The head of US Homeland Security, Tom Ridge, has sought to reassure voters that they can go to the polls to elect a new president on Tuesday without fear of terrorist attacks.
He was speaking after the release of the latest videotaped message from the Al-Qaeda leader, Osama bin Laden, warning of possible fresh attacks against the US.
Mr Ridge said there was no specific intelligence that suggested any such action was likely on election day.
