The US military is investigating 28 soldiers over the deaths of two detainees in American custody in Afghanistan in 2002.
The 28 are named in an official report into the deaths of two detainees at the Bagram air base near Kabul in December of that year.
The nationalities of the dead were not given.
The soldiers are from a military police reservist unit and an active military intelligence unit. They could face charges ranging from involuntary manslaughter to assault and battery.
