O'Brien takes ruling to Supreme Court

Denis O'Brien is seeking to appeal the High Court's refusal to halt the Moriarty Tribunal's investigation of his purchase of the former Doncaster Rovers football ground.

Businessman Denis O'Brien is seeking to appeal the High Court's refusal to halt the Moriarty Tribunal's investigation of his purchase of the former Doncaster Rovers football grounds in England.

The High Court made its ruling late last week.

Mr O'Brien is now taking the matter to the Supreme Court, where the case has been scheduled for mention on Friday.

Lawyers for Mr O'Brien have said they want their appeal to be heard urgently.
